We picked the little shoe as a direct translation of the Italian word ‘scarpetta’. In Italy ,where we have spent so much time growing up, learning about food and wine, scarpetta is what they say to get bread to wipe up the sauce at the end of a dish. This for us sums up savouring every last drop. It was a prefect fit for our bakery and passion to create flavourful rich sauces for our dishes - scarpetta.
